Charitable Foundation Seeks Support from Community

2008 Scholarship Winners Announced
St. Anthony’s Medical Center Foundation, in partnership with the Greater Saint Louis Community Foundation, has announced the winners of St. Anthony’s Medical Center’s Norbert Siegfried Scholarships for 2008. This is the third year for the scholarship program, which has been named in honor of Norbert Siegfried, one of the founding fathers of St. Anthony’s Medical Center Foundation’s board of directors. Big Bend Urgent Care Center Opens July 11
St. Anthony’s Medical Center opens its fourth urgent care center on July 11 at Highway 44 and Big Bend Boulevard, to serve residents of Crestwood, Kirkwood, Sunset Hills, Webster Groves, Affton and surrounding communities. Click for media release
St. Anthony's Again Named Quality Respiratory Care Institution
St. Anthony’s Medical Center has earned Quality Respiratory Care Recognition (QRCR) from the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC), for the sixth year in a row. St. Anthony’s is one of only 17 hospitals in the state and one of only two in the St. Louis area to receive this award. Click for media release
Acute Rehab Earns CARF Accreditation Again
For the second time in a row, St. Anthony’s Acute Rehab department has applied for – and received – a three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), an international, not-for-profit organization that accredits human services providers based on quality of services. Only 13 other inpatient rehabilitation programs have earned the CARF accreditation in Missouri. Click for media release

St. Anthony’s Medical Center has been designated a UnitedHealth Premium Cardiac Specialty Center for 2007-2009. This is the second time in a row St. Anthony’s has received this distinction for the quality and efficient cardiac care it provides to patients. Click for media release
More than 1,000 People Preview New Pediatric Emergency Care
In December 2007, St. Anthony’s and Cardinal Glennon brought a new level of emergency care to South County children and families with Cardinal Glennon Pediatric Emergency Care at St. Anthony’s. This new 10,000-square-foot pediatric emergency department will meet the special needs of the more than 14,000 children who turn to St. Anthony’s for emergency care each year. Click for media release

St. Anthony's Medical Center among Top Five Percent Nationally for Patient Safety, according to Quality Study
HealthGrades, the nation's leading healthcare ratings company, has named St. Anthony's Medical Center a recipient of the 2007 Distinguished Hospital Award for Patient Safety. 
This is based on an independent national research study that analyzed nearly 40 million Medicare patient records over a two-year period. This distinction reflects St. Anthony's performance among the top five percent nationally for patient safety outcomes - and we are one of only 242 hospitals among 5,000 in the country to receive this recognition.
